The large imposing pieces blend digital and optical technology to present holographic images that stretch beyond reality. Subtly animated, the images capture two life-size figures, hesitantly emerging from the holographic scene.
As you approach they tempt you into their dark world, yet remain forever elusive, suspended in light.

Unfurl was commissioned by Experimenta for the 2005 ‘Vanishing Point’ exhibition and produced with the assistance of Mark Ruff and Ged Wright and printed with Dr John Perry at Holographics North.
